Colourmegreen - Make your life greener

Covering environmental news that doesn’t get the attention it deserves

Colour me Green aims to help people stay up-to-date with the most pressing environmental issues and cover any environmental news that does not get the attention it deserves.

More than ever, planet Earth is under threat from human activities and whilst most people have heard about issues such as climate change, deforestation or biodiversity loss, to many these global problems can seem quite abstract and people wonder what they can actually do about them on an individual level.

As a society we are increasingly aware of environmental problems. Yet, it seems that environmental news is still not sufficiently covered by mainstream media.

Showcasing major international environmental events

Also, don’t forget to check out our events section, where you can browse upcoming major international environmental events across the globe.

International environmental days are an opportunity to raise awareness of a particular topic or conservation issue.

Generally sponsored by international NGOs or diplomatic institutions, international days are occasions to educate citizens on major issues and to mobilise political will and resources to address global environmental problems.

Species awareness days especially, not only highlight the need to protect a particular species and their habitat but may also lead to an increase in conservation fund-raising by charities and advocacy groups.

Helping individuals adopt a more sustainable lifestyle

On top of providing regular analysis and insight into fundamental environmental issues, Colour me green aims to offer sustainable solutions and innovations, as well as useful tips and advice, to encourage individuals to change their habits and help make their lives a little greener, without (too) much personal sacrifice.
