SUMMARY:No Mow May
DESCRIPTION:Organised each year by UK-based non-profit organisation Plantlife\, the No Mow May campaign urges gardeners to put away their lawnmower on May 1st and let the wild flowers bloom\, providing a feat of nectar for our hungry pollinators. \n\n\n\nDuring No Mow May\, join legions of gardeners and say “no” to the mow this May to help our bees\, butterflies\, wildlife and us!\n\n\n\nAt the end of the No Mow May challenge\, on the Bank Holiday Weekend\, join in with a nationwide “Every Flower Counts” survey to discover how many bees the UK’s lawns can feed. Not only will you receive your very own “nectar score” (which will tell you have many bees your lawn can feed)\, you’ll help us learn more about the health of the nations’ wild flowers. \n\n\n\nYou might be surprised at how many flowers you can spot if you the let the grass grow. Daisies\, dandelions\, creeping buttercups\, common mouse-ear\, cuckooflowers and white clover are to name just a few. There are also lots of plants you can grow in your garden\, window box and vegetable patch that will attract pollinators. These include rosemary\, lavender\, apple blossom\, strawberries and tomatoes. \n\n\n\nFor more information
